Nicola Harries

Nicola is currently the Project Director at CL:AIRE, she has 19 years experience within the environmental industry, nine of these years in consultancy and the last ten years have been with CL:AIRE. Nicola manages a small team of project managers who oversee all of CL:AIRE projects. She is responsible for developing close contacts with the contaminated land community to encourage their participation in projects with CL:AIRE. This includes technology vendors, researchers, local authorities, consultants, contractors, site owners and government funded organisations.

Nicola acts as the secretariat of the Sustainable Remediation Forum UK (SuRF-UK) which is an industry forum looking at measuring sustainability while undertaking remediation of land and groundwater. She sits on a number of steering committees for a variety of projects which CL:AIRE is involved in and also sits on the editorial board of Quarterly Journal of Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology.

She has a BSc and MSc in Applied Geology and Geomaterials respectively, is a Chartered Geologist and Chartered Scientist.
