My scientific research is focused on microbial interactions in soil with particular emphasis on bacterial-fungal interactions. I seek to examine and explore the key mechanisms governing these interactions. I will focus to understand the defined role of the type III secretion system in the establishment and success of bacterial fungal interactions. Furthermore I will focus to study and understand the phenomenon of bacterial-biofilm formation on fungal surfaces and highlighting the role of bacterial pili and other receptors that could possibly play their role in the formation of bacterial biofilms on fungal surfaces.
